Ancient Origins

Yoga originated over
5,000 years ago in
ancient India, with
roots in spiritual
practices and
meditation, aimed at
creating a balance
between the mind,
body, and spirit.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT YOGA

Yoga improves
flexibility, strength,
and balance. It can
also enhance posture
and reduce muscle
tension, making it a
great complement to
other physical
activities.

Physical Benefits

Studies suggest that
yoga can help boost
the immune system by
reducing inflammation
and improving
circulation, which in
turn promotes overall
health.

WE ARE

What do I need to bring to my first yoga class?

All you need to bring to your first
class is yourself! We recommend
wearing comfortable clothing that
allows for easy movement. If you have
a yoga mat, feel free to bring it, but
most studios provide mats for use.
Don’t forget a water bottle to stay
hydrated, and if you like, a towel for
sweat.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

I’m new to yoga—will I be able to keep up with the class?

Absolutely! Yoga is for everyone,
regardless of your experience level.
Many classes offer modifications for
beginners, and our instructors are
here to guide you. You can always
take breaks as needed and work at
your own pace. Yoga is about your
personal journey, so don’t worry
about "keeping up"—just focus on how
it feels for you.

What types of yoga classes do you offer?

Our studio offers a variety of yoga
styles, including Hatha Yoga (gentle
and slow-paced), Vinyasa Yoga
(flowing movements with breath),
Power Yoga (strength-building),
Restorative Yoga (deep relaxation),
and Yin Yoga (holding poses for
longer periods). Whether you’re
looking for a challenge or relaxation,
we have a class for you.

How often should I practice yoga to see benefits?

For beginners, we recommend
practicing yoga at least 2–3 times a
week to see improvements in
flexibility, strength, and overall well-
being. The more regularly you
practice, the quicker you’ll start
feeling the benefits both physically
and mentally. However, even one
class a week can help you feel more
balanced and centered

Do I need to be flexible to practice yoga?

Not at all! Many people start yoga to
increase flexibility, but you don’t need
to be flexible to begin. Yoga helps to
stretch and strengthen the body over
time. Flexibility improves gradually, so
just come as you are and allow your
body to open up at its own pace.

Can I practice yoga if I have an injury or medical condition?

Yoga can be very therapeutic, and
many people practice it to manage
and recover from injuries or health
conditions. However, it’s important to
inform your instructor about any
injuries or conditions before class so
they can offer modifications. Always
check with your healthcare provider
before starting a new fitness routine if
you have specific medical concerns.
